4 Years On...

I have set this post up for my darling wife! Today (well really tomorrow, but when she reads this it will be today) we celebrate 4 years of marriage together!!!! 4 YEARS!!! It totally blows my mind to think about how long we have been together yet how quickly the time has seemed to pass. In our 4 years being married we have lived in 5 different houses in 4 different suburbs, combined we have worked in 8 different jobs or positions, been blessed with the most beautiful baby girl in Emery, seen 3 of our siblings also get married, and have been delighted as 2 of those siblings have given birth to our nephew and niece. We’ve seen good friends become more distant, other friends move overseas to live and just as that all happens we’ve seen new friends cross our path as we’ve needed. Did I mention we also raised a dog who I swear has a split personality!!! We had our first trip overseas together, holidayed down south with friends and gone over east with family. We’ve been sick and stressed and had other times of health and abundance. And the one constant through all of that is my beautiful, loving wife!

When I look at all that has happened (and I know I’m forgetting a lot of stuff) in our short time together it amazes me that we have survived! There have been times where our relationship has been tested for sure, but I know that even when times get tough she still loves me despite all the stupid things I do. I am not deserving of the love Bek shows to me. She is a beautiful, talented, caring, loyal and wise (usually a lot wiser than me, although I don’t admit that very often!). Nobody else can make me laugh the way she does. When she pulls those faces or does those weird little dances I can’t help but laugh and smile no matter how tired or angry I might be. She has taken to motherhood like a duck to water and it is a huge testament to her character and ability that we have such a darling baby girl….I promise Eme gets none of it from me!

So to my beautiful Bek…

Thankyou for being my constant through the last 4 years of craziness. Each new day that comes makes it harder to remember what life was like before you, and to be honest I don’t even want to. You are my wife, my friend, my princess, my everything! On this day that we remember the time our separate lives became one, I hope that you realise just how much I truly love you and how much better my life is for you being in it. The memories we’ve created already will be forever special to me and to think that we are only at the beginning of our journey spins me out!

Know that I love you and know that I will always cherish you!
